Description

We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for locum tenens coverage in South Carolina. This assignment offers a supportive staff, a mix of procedures, inpatient consults, and clinic care.


Responsibilities



  • One 7-day stretch per month (Monday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM)

  • Provide 24-hour hospital call coverage

  • Perform scheduled procedures in the Endoscopy Lab (½ day blocks)

  • Respond to inpatient consults

  • Cover 2–3 half days of outpatient clinic

  • Required Procedures: EGD, Colonoscopy, flexible Sigmoidoscopy

  • EMR: Epic


Qualifications



  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

  • Active South Carolina Medical License

  • Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) required before onboarding

  • Must maintain a DEA registered in South Carolina for ongoing privileges
