Locum Tenens Physician - Primary Care

Location: Near RUTLEDGE, GA - Metropolitan Area

Assignment Duration: Ongoing until permanent provider is found

Job Description: Seeking a locum tenens Physician to provide care for children and adults, with a focus on serving the homeless and underserved populations on an outpatient basis. This role may require some experience with HIV patients, and the physician may be trained to work with HIV candidates and Integrated Behavioral Health services.

Details:

• Start date: As soon as credentialed


• Day shift; hours may vary as early as 7 am - 7 pm


• No call


• Public service, clinic environment


• 10-12 patients per day, mostly adults


• EMR: Epic


• 6 mid-level providers provide coverage


• No supervision of other healthcare providers


• Will not respond to in-house codes or provide backup to ED


• Defibrillator available


• Comfort with performing pelvic exams, pap smears, and employment physicals
