Description JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Hospitalist/Nocturnist • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Kansas City, MO • Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 03/01/2026 – Ongoing COVERAGE DATES • Starting March 1, 2026 (ongoing coverage) PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults • Admissions: Yes (day and night admitting roles) • Rounding: Included • Case Mix: General inpatient medicine; critical care exposure through open ICU model; no procedures required FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 590 hospital beds • Trauma Level: Level I Trauma Center • EMR System: Meditech • Office Equipment Available: Standard inpatient hospital resources • Specialty Backup Available: Full specialty support • Support Staff Available: Advanced Practice Providers and intensivists • Reason for Coverage: Full-time vacancy PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Overtime: Daily overtime after 12 hours; weekly overtime after 168 hours • Benefits: Competitive benefits package for full-time placements • Additional Stipend: Competitive Medical Director stipend available • Malpractice Insurance: Covered JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Missouri medical license • Board: Board Certified preferred • Degree: MD or DO • Experience: Hospital medicine experience preferred • Other Qualifications: Comfortable working within a team-based hospitalist model; interest in participating in a developing ECMO program DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide inpatient hospitalist care including admissions and rounding • Participate in day or nocturnist coverage based on assignment • Collaborate with APPs, intensivists, and specialty consultants • Manage patients within an open ICU model with intensivist support • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Meditech EMR * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
