What You’ll Need:
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Critical Care or Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Proficiency with CRRT, BIPAPs, drawing own labs, Chest Tubes, PICC lines; experience with no vascular access team preferred
- Ability to conduct own codes confidently and respond swiftly in emergency situations
- Valid Kansas RN license or Compact RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NHIF certifications
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable floating across ICU, Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Emergency Department settings
- Flexibility to work every other weekend and inclusion in holiday scheduling as needed
- Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts (0700-1930)
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience with electronic medical records (EPIC)
- Experience working in nicotine-free facilities
- Ability to adapt quickly to various inpatient units and protocols
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Kansas or authorized via Compact licensing
- At least 2 years of recent relevant ICU experience demonstrating proficiency in advanced patient monitoring and procedures
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to float across inpatient units as needed
- Availability to work during designated holidays, including July 4th
- No new graduates considered for this position
- Confirmation of credentials prior to start date, with orientation scheduled at our facilities and virtual training included
- Must refrain from requesting time off during the World Cup (June 11 – July 19) unless minimal and approved by management
