Day-to-day:
Insight Global is looking for a Nursing Manager in the Ferndale, MI area. Under the leadership of the Director of Patient Care Services, this position is accountable for leading, managing, developing, supervising, and evaluating all aspects of patient care. Manages approximately 70 Registered Nurses, Behavioral Health Technicians and Unit Coordinators and collaborates with leadership members, physicians, for the care of responsible patient populations. Assures professional, clinical, and educational excellence in the provision of quality care to patients. Facilitates empowerment of staff in the implementation of creative and innovative patient care delivery models and stimulates a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in the continuous improvement of patient care services.
Skills
Must Haves:Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, Business Management or another related field.
Completion of other formal nursing education necessary to obtain/maintain an advanced practice nursing Michigan license (mid-wife, CRNA, CNS, or Nurse Practitioner).
5+ years of experience in clinical experience as an RN.
3-5+ years of experience within a progressive clinical leadership experience in a behavioral health setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated innovative, creative leadership style.
Participative/collaborative management style.
Knowledge of quality safety imperatives, process improvement, and service excellence.
Interpersonal skills to effectively lead assigned personnel and to communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Analytical skills to evaluate procedures, techniques, assess problems, and identify solutions.
Knowledge of nurse scheduling and ability to present fresh ideas for improvement
Ability to be flexible/deliver positive energy at all times
