A facility is seeking a Urologist for locum tenens coverage providing a mix of clinic, call, and surgical services. This is a busy, fast-paced practice with a broad range of general urology cases.Orientation $200/hr
$400/hr
Night call $800 , includes 2.5 h gratis
3250/day with 4 hour gratis

24-hour call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Call ratio: 1:6
Minimum expectation:
5–6 days of call plus clinic per week

Inpatient rounding
Surgical procedures
ED consults and call coverage Procedures
Bread and butter urology procedures including:
Cystoscopy
Vasectomy
Prostate biopsy
TURP
Uroflow/cuff
Bladder scans
Ureteroscopy
Nephrectomy
Cystectomy
ESWL
Botox injections
Robotics available (not required) Patient Volume
20–25 patients per day
20–30 surgeries per month
Call mix:
20% new consults
80% callbacks
Average callback time:
Weekday: ~0.5 hours
Weekend: ~2 hours Practice Environment
Sole provider in a busy department
Support staff includes:
2 RNs
MA
Surgery scheduler
2 front office staff
Hospitalist team handles admissions
EMR: Epic Credentialing
Estimated timeframe: ~3 months Travel
Local candidates preferred
Preferred lodging Requirements
Board Certified – highly preferred or Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency)
Washington license – highly preferred or IMLC with LOQ in hand
BLS and DEA – required (ACLS may be obtained if selected)
Must be able to cover ~80% of listed dates – required
Must provide availability and blackout dates – required
Must provide monthly shift availability – required
