A hospital is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for locum tenens weekend call coverage.$2700/day Position Details

Weekend call coverage
Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
Not in-house (can take call from hotel/home)
Response time: 30 minutes
Coverage needed: 1 weekend per month Required Dates
June 5 (12:00 PM) – June 8 (7:00 AM)
June 19 (12:00 PM) – June 22 (7:00 AM) Clinical Responsibilities
Provide coverage for:
Newborn nursery
ER consults
Inpatient pediatric unit
Round at least once daily on Saturday and Sunday
Provide phone coverage unless in-person care is required
Stabilize infants for transfer when needed
Patient Volume
Inpatient: ~1–2 patients
Newborn nursery: ~5 babies over the weekend
ER: 2–3 calls per day (often handled by phone)

Neonates, infants, and pediatric patients Practice Environment
Low inpatient volume
Weekend coverage only
EMR: Cerner Credentialing
Estimated timeframe: 3–4 weeks (with active license and case logs) Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics – required
Arkansas license – required
DEA – required
Must be able to intubate and place lines
Must be available for listed dates – required
COVID-19 vaccination – required (exemptions allowed)
