A Level 1 Trauma Center just 70 miles east of Pittsburgh is home to two Intensive Care units, consisting of a 14-bed ICU and an 11-bed CCU. The ICU admission service is closed and patient care is solely assumed by the ICU intensivists. The new pulmonary practice, offers an opportunity to either practice a 50/50 pulmonary/critical care split.
