Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead patient care utilizing the nursing process within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and hospital policies

  • Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members

  • Ensure quality patient outcomes and demonstrate accountability for care standards

  • Exhibit cultural, ethnic, and religious sensitivity in all interactions

  • Maintain involvement in departmental and organizational strategic initiatives

  • Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements, including current certifications and licensure

  • Promote a collaborative environment and effectively communicate with interdisciplinary teams

  • Stay current on federal, state, and local laws impacting nursing practice



Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Current RN license in the state of practice

  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant professional experience

  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association

  • Proficiency in computer systems, software, and web-based applications

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills

  • Ability to assess learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies

  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in healthcare



Nice to Have Skills:


  • Certification in a clinical specialty area

  • Experience in a fast-paced medical/surgical environment

  • Bilingual abilities or multilingual communication skills



Preferred Educational Background and Experience:


  • Diploma in nursing (required), Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred)

  • At least 2 years of direct clinical experience in medical/surgical nursing



Additional Requirements:


  • Ability to work the 12:00 AM – 12:00 AM shift

  • Ability to perform heavy physical work, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally

  • Compliance with all OSHA, infection control, and safety protocols

  • Willingness to work in environments with exposure to blood, body fluids, and potentially communicable diseases
