Description
A nonprofit organization in New York City is looking to add a new, licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join one of their schools in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and/or Queens.
About the Opportunity:
- State Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing
- Setting: School-based
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 2:30pm
- Patient Population: IDD Pediatric population
Responsibilities:
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will:
- Screen and evaluate the communication and feeding/swallowing skills of preschoolers
- Develop and implement the Therapy programs
- Participates in all aspects of the interdisciplinary treatment team
- Maintain and submit clinical documentation as required and within required time frames
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs in the classroom
- Maintain appropriate and effective interpersonal relationships with team members, other staff, department members, supervisors, administrative staff, parents, and outside agencies
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech Therapy
- NYS Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- NYS TSSLD (TSSHH) certification
Desired Skills:
- Experience working with the Pediatric population
