GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Staff Therapist provides individual, group, couple and family therapy. Participates as a clinical staff team member, participates in staffing and clinical team meetings, performs necessary administrative tasks, and helps market the Agency’s services. The Staff Therapist maintains an attitude/manner consistent with the mission statement of the Agency.
EXPECTATIONS:
Counseling
• Maintain the number of clinical hours as contracted (Minimum 25 face-to-face clinical hours per week)
• Represent the standards and practices of counseling in accordance with the Agency’s mission statement
• Maintain clinical records in accordance with professional and Agency guidelines
• Work with the administrative staff/supervisor/billing to resolve client and collection issues
• In absence of receptionist, collect payments and write receipts to clientsClinical Staff Participation
• Work cooperatively with staff colleagues, consultants and referring professionals
• Actively participate in clinical staff meetings and case consultations when possible
• Attend administrative staff meetings, staff retreats, certification/licensure reviews and team building activities Agency Administration and Development
• Participate in the development of the Agency’s community relations and referral network
• Required to collect client payments in absence of receptionist & write/print receipt
• Perform administrative and development tasks as assigned
• Participate in and support Agency fundraising functions and public relations initiatives EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or equivalent from an accredited college or university
• Clinical training and experience appropriate to the requirements of the position
• Licensed in the State of Indiana
• Personal liability insurance
