Overview:
A hospital-based opportunity is available for a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide inpatient labor and delivery coverage. This role includes managing laboring patients, performing deliveries, and working independently in a supportive clinical environment.

$105/hr

Assignment Details:
Start: ASAP
Duration: Approximately 9 months

Schedule:
12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
3 shifts per week
Block scheduling available
In-house coverage with active patient monitoring

Practice Details:
Setting: Inpatient (Labor & Delivery)
EMR: Not specified
Patient Population: Adult
Unit Capacity: 10 labor beds, 14 postpartum beds
Provider works independently

Patient Volume:
Average 1–2 deliveries per 24 hours

Responsibilities:
Manage laboring patients
Perform vaginal deliveries
Assist with C-sections
Conduct patient triage in L&D
Perform inpatient rounding and admissions

Required Procedures:
Vaginal delivery
C-section assist
Induction of labor
Fetal scalp electrode (FSE) placement
Intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement
Repair of 1st and 2nd degree perineal lacerations

Requirements:
Certified Nurse Midwife – Required
Active Washington License – Required
Washington DEA – Required
BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) – Required
Recent clinical experience within the last 24 months (case logs required)

Credentialing:
Must be fully licensed prior to submission
