Exciting Opportunity for Pediatric Cardiology Physician Assistants: Join Our Renowned Cardiac Intensive Care Team!
Are you a dedicated Physician Assistant with a passion for pediatric cardiology and critical care? We invite skilled and compassionate professionals to become an integral part of our nationally recognized Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). This is your chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with complex cardiac conditions while working in a state-of-the-art, high-acuity environment. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you'll provide advanced care to a diverse patient population, including those requiring heart failure management, transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support.
Required Skills:
- Active Physician Assistant license with certification.
- Critical Care Certification (BC Critical Care required).
- Proven competence in bedside procedures such as chest tube and pacing wire removal.
- Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Ability to independently perform essential bedside procedures and support complex patient management.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in pediatric cardiac ICU or pediatric cardiology.
- Proficiency with mechanical circulatory support devices (e.g., ECMO, ventricular assist devices).
- Familiarity with electrophysiology management, including pacemaker care.
- Previous experience in an intensive care setting with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in pediatric cardiology or critical care settings.
- Prior experience with pediatric post-operative care, heart failure, or transplant management.
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work day shifts, 5x13-hour shifts (07:00 - 20:00).
- Commitment to maintaining certification and licensure requirements.
- Ability to adapt to evolving clinical protocols and unit standards.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and team collaboration initiatives.
- Travel and certification reimbursements are provided as applicable.

Hourly Pay Rate: $170.43
