Locum Tenens Ophthalmologist – Southeast
Location: Hospital-Based | IMLC State
Start Date: July 2025
Schedule: 7–10 shifts per month (flexible, ongoing)

We are working with a hospital in the southeast that is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Ophthalmologist to provide ongoing locum tenens call coverage starting July 2025. This is a long-term need with flexible scheduling—ideal for a provider looking to supplement their income or maintain a consistent locums schedule. The hospital has a group of three ophthalmologists and is looking to add 7–10 call shifts per month. There is no clinic involved—just call coverage, focused on emergent ophthalmic care. Key Responsibilities:
Emergency ophthalmology consults
Management of ocular trauma, including ruptured globes
On-call responsibilities only (no clinic or scheduled procedures) Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
Active Georgia medical license (or willingness to obtain via IMLC – expedited process)
Proven experience handling eye trauma and emergency ophthalmic procedures What’s Provided:
