Overview:
A hospital-based opportunity is available for a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to provide coverage for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular cases in a high-acuity academic setting. This role includes both specialized cardiac anesthesia and general OR support as needed.

Compensation:

Orientation - $230/hr
Hourly - $440/hr
Night call - $1100 with 2.5 hour gratis
On-call daily - $3800 with 4 hour gratis
Call-back hourly after gratis - 470/hr

Assignment Details:

Start: ASAP (preferred)
Ongoing through December 2026

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8–10 hour day shifts
Overnight and weekend call required
Unrestricted call coverage expected

Practice Details:

Setting: Hospital-based (academic, Level I trauma)
EMR: Epic
Multiple ORs, endoscopy suites, and procedural labs
Collaborative team including anesthesiologists and CRNAs
Adult and geriatric patient population (no pediatrics)

Case Mix:

Open heart surgery
Thoracic procedures
Vascular cases
Structural heart procedures
Additional general OR cases as needed

Responsibilities:

Provide cardiac anesthesia for complex surgical procedures
Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
Participate in call coverage
Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
Supervise CRNAs as needed

Requirements:

Board Certified in Anesthesiology – Required
TEE Certified – Required
Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship – Required
Active Nebraska License or IMLC – Preferred (willing to obtain accepted)
Clean malpractice/background – Preferred
NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – Required

Credentialing:

Estimated timeframe: 60–90 days"
