• Location: Near Charleston, WV


• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens, temporary coverage


• Duration: November 25, 2024, at 7 a.m. through November 29, 2024, at 7 a.m.

• Setting: Inpatient only, no outpatient responsibilities

Coverage Requirements

• On-Call: Beeper call required with phone consults and call-back as needed


• Average Patients: Volume and call ratios to be determined


• Procedures: General anesthesia required, along with adult and specific pediatric cases

Practice Environment

• Facility: Inpatient services only; this facility does not handle complex trauma or pediatric emergency cases


• Support Staff: No supervision of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) or teaching responsibilities required


• OR Skills Required:
  
  
  
  • Cardiac, thoracic, and complex orthopedic surgeries are not performed at this facility
  
  
  • General anesthesia with spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia surgery capabilities required
  
  
  • Specific procedural skills in pain management techniques, ventilation management, central and arterial line placements, and anesthesia for neurosurgical and obstetrical cases
  
  
  
  

Certification & Licensing

• Board Certification: Board-certified anesthesiologists required


• Licenses: West Virginia medical license required


• Certifications: Must have ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS

• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): MediTech


• Credentialing: Expected timeframe for credentialing is 30-60 days; temporary privileges available for qualified candidates


• Trauma and Pediatrics Level: Level 0 (No complex trauma or high-risk pediatrics)
