Overview:
A hospital-based gastroenterology opportunity is available for a physician to provide 24-hour call coverage for inpatient and outpatient GI services. This role includes endoscopic procedures, consults, rounding, and emergency GI coverage in a collaborative environment.

Compensation:

$3700 with 6 hour gratis, $500/hr after 6 hours

Assignment Details:

Start: June 18, 2026 (orientation)
Current coverage need: June 19–21, 2026
Ongoing opportunities may be available

Schedule:

24-hour call shifts
Approximately 14–21 shifts per month
Average callback: ~6 hours per day
Rounding and procedures as needed; offsite when not actively needed

Practice Details:

Setting: Hospital and clinic
EMR: Epic
Adult patient population
APC support available during weekday daytime hours
350-bed hospital

Patient Volume:

Approximately 8–12 patients per day

Responsibilities:

Perform GI consults and inpatient rounding
Provide 24-hour call coverage
Perform endoscopic procedures
Collaborate with GI providers and APC support staff

Required Procedures:

Colonoscopy
EGD

Preferred Procedures:

ERCP (highly preferred but not required)

Requirements:

Board Certified in Gastroenterology – Required
Active Washington License – Required
BLS – Required
Epic experience – Required
Case logs from the previous 24 months – Required
ERCP experience/case logs required if performing ERCP

Credentialing:

Orientation required prior to start"
