We are seeking a skilled General Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment at a healthcare facility in Nebraska, located near Genoa. This position offers the opportunity to provide critical surgical care within a supportive environment and join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Position Details:

Position Type: Locum Tenens - General Surgeon

Setting: Acute Care inpatient/outpatient hospital; Level III Trauma Center

Responsibilities:
- Provide 24/7 acute surgery and trauma surgery coverage
- Conduct daily rounds on all patients admitted to the general surgery and trauma services
- Manage consults and respond to patient needs as they arise
- Perform basic general surgery procedures and provide trauma care

Requirements:

Licensing: Active Nebraska Medical License or IMLC (Letter of Qualification in hand)

Certification:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Certification

Experience: Completion of a General Surgery Residency; Clean background and malpractice history

Additional Requirements: Ability to provide a case log of at least 100 surgeries in the past 12 months, showcasing experience with a variety of cases

Schedule:

On-Call Coverage: 24-hour shifts, including weekend availability

Holiday On-Call Rate: Enhanced holiday rates apply

Shift Duration: Daily 24-hour on-call coverage with flexible scheduling options for January, February, and March

EMR System:

Electronic Medical Records: EPIC
