We are seeking a General Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment in a picturesque area near Manti, Utah. This is an excellent opportunity to support a local healthcare facility and enjoy a flexible schedule with competitive compensation.

• Coverage Type: Call Only (24-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)


• Practice Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient


• Patient Volume: 0-5 per shift


• Admissions: 2-5 per shift


• Call Back Rate: 20%

Required Skills:

The provider must be proficient in:

• General surgery procedures such as laparoscopic surgery, appendectomy, and hernioplasty


• Endoscopic procedures (upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy)


• Diagnostic and therapeutic scopes


• Basic trauma management


• Minor orthopedic and vascular surgery

Additional Details:

• Trauma Level: Level IV


• EMR System: eCW & MedHost


• Board Eligibility: Board-eligible candidates accepted; certification preferred but not required


• Credentialing Timeframe: Approx. 3 days once application is submitted


• Support Staff: TBD; no teaching or resident supervision required

Licensure and Certifications:

• Active Utah license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility required


• ACLS certification required; BLS, PALS, ATLS not required
