Description

  • Specialty:
        
    • Pediatric Trauma Surgery NP or PA 
      
  • Coverage Needs:
        
    • ASAP - Ongoing   
    • Staffing Shortage (3 Providers Needed)
      
  • Shifts: 
        
    • 3 Twelve hour shifts each week with 4 hrs of admin time  
    • Can be flexible with weekly schedule   
    • Shifts are 6a-6p or 6p-6a
      
  • Call: 
        
    • No
      
  • Census:
        
    • 7-10
      
  • Support Staff: 
        
    • Full surgery team 
      
  • Procedures: 
        
    • Drain removal - chest tubes, surgically placed drains (i.e. - Blake, JP, Penrose)  
    • Gastric tube replacement  
    • Dilation of gastrostomy tracts  
    • Repair of simple lacerations  
    • Anal dilations  
    • Rectal irrigations  
    • First-assist in OR when needed
      
  • EMR: 
        
    • Epic  
    • Voice Recognition
      
  • Travel: 
        
    • Hospital will cover
      
  • Credentialing timeline:
        
    • 30-60
      
  • Requirements:
        
    • Prefer UT state licensed candidates but will take Nursing compact
