Overview

Critical Care Nurse Practitioner locum tenens opportunity in western Maryland providing overnight ICU coverage in an 18-bed ICU within a Level III Trauma Center. This is an ongoing, high-priority coverage need due to provider turnover.

Schedule

• 7:00pm-7:00am


• Night shifts only


• Monday-Sunday coverage


• Estimated 10-14+ shifts per month


• No call

Clinical Responsibilities

• ICU admissions and critical care management


• Daily progress notes


• Night rounding with nursing and surgical teams


• Order entry and management


• Transfer coordination


• Interpretation of labs and imaging


• Management of post-operative cardiovascular and critically ill medical patients

Common Diagnoses

• DKA


• Pneumonia


• Sepsis

Requirements

• CRNP only


• Board Certified or Board Eligible


• Minimum 1 year Critical Care experience


• Active Maryland license required prior to start


• ACLS and BLS required


• DEA and CSR required
