Description "Urology Physician Opportunity York, Pennsylvania A healthcare facility in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Urologist for locum call coverage. Compensation:
Specialty: Urology Practice Setting: Hospital-based Trauma Level: I Coverage Type: 24-hour beeper call Full-time locum coverage with scheduling flexibility Coverage Dates June 1 @ 7:00 AM – June 5 @ 7:00 AM June 8 @ 7:00 AM – June 12 @ 7:00 AM June 22 @ 7:00 AM – June 26 @ 5:00 PM July 4 @ 7:00 AM – July 10 @ 5:00 PM July 27 @ 7:00 AM – July 31 @ 5:00 PM Clinical Responsibilities 24-hour urology call coverage Emergency urologic procedures and consults Hospital-based urology coverage Supervision of APPs required Mix of office visits and cystoscopy/stent procedures Patient Volume Approximately 24–28 patients per day Callback volume: Approximately 2–6 hours per day Patient Population Adult patients primarily Rare pediatric emergency torsion cases may present during call coverage Required Procedures Vasectomy Cystoscopy Prostate procedures Ureteroscopy Lithotripsy Orchiopexy Additional Procedures Vasectomy reversal preferred but not mandatory Penile implants performed rarely Circumcision support may occasionally be needed during call Practice Environment Robotic surgery available Scope procedures available if part of provider’s practice 16 operating rooms across hospital and surgery center locations EMR: Epic Support Staff 4 Medical Assistants 1 CSA 1 RN APP support available Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology Active Pennsylvania license preferred for faster start Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC LOQ required at presentation DEA required Minimum 1 year of experience preferred New graduates accepted Additional Information Temporary privileges available for providers with a clean file Estimated credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days Two-hour gratis period applies Coverage need includes emergency and inpatient call responsibilities"
