Description JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Thoracic Surgery NP/PA • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Bridgeport, CT • Service Setting: Hospital and Outpatient Clinic • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 07/27/2026 – 10/31/2026 • Clinical Shift Schedule: 3 – 4 days per week; 10-hour shifts • On-Call Shift Schedule: Call unlikely to be needed PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults • Admissions: Included • Rounding: Included • Case Mix: Thoracic Surgery, Lung Surgery, Foregut Surgery, Minimally Invasive Procedures FACILITY INFORMATION • Specialty Backup Available: Thoracic Surgery Team PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: TBD • Credentialing Timeline: TBD COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • First Assist in the OR • Thoracic Surgery Procedures • Robotic Surgery Procedures • Inpatient Rounding • Admissions and Discharges JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active CT License preferred • Board: Board Certified/Board Eligible as NP or PA • Experience: Thoracic (non-cardiac) and robotic surgery experience required • Other Qualifications: Experience with minimally invasive thoracic and foregut surgery preferred • Immunizations: Current Flu vaccination required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide first assist support in the operating room • Evaluate and manage office patients • Perform inpatient rounding, admissions, and discharges • Collaborate with the thoracic surgery team to provide quality patient care • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
