Description JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Physician – Emergency Medicine • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Johnson City, TN • Service Setting: Emergency Department / Acute Care Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: August 1, 2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Flexible scheduling; shifts TBD COVERAGE DATES • August 1, 2026 – Ongoing PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics • Patient Volume/Census: Annual ED volume of 24,000 • Admissions: Yes • Rounding: Not Included • Phone Consults: No • Case Mix: Emergency Medicine cases including trauma and acute care presentations FACILITY INFORMATION • Facility Name: Franklin Woods Community Hospital • No. of Beds in Department: 80 hospital beds • Trauma Level: TBD • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: TBD • Specialty Backup Available: Hospital specialty support available • Support Staff Available: APP coverage of 22 hours daily • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: TBD • Credentialing Timeline: TBD COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Daily OT after 12 hours and weekly OT after 168 hours apply based on contract terms • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Emergency stabilization and treatment • Trauma management • Supervision of NP and PA providers JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active unrestricted Tennessee medical license required • Board: BC in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or equivalent accepted board pathway • DEA: Active DEA with Tennessee address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 required • Certifications: ACLS required; ATLS and PALS required for non-ABEM physicians; NRP required for non-ABEM providers • Experience: New EM residency graduates within the last 12 months accepted • Other Qualifications: ECFMG required for foreign graduates; case logs for the past 2 years required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide Emergency Medicine coverage in the ED • Evaluate and treat acute and emergent conditions • Supervise NP and PA providers • Document patient care using Epic EMR • Collaborate with hospital staff and specialty teams * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
