Are you an Emergency Medicine-trained physician seeking a rewarding opportunity at a well-established hospital in a vibrant community? Southeast Health, a top-tier community hospital serving over 600,000 residents, is looking to add a dedicated full-time Emergency Medicine Physician to our dynamic, hospital-employed team in Dothan, Alabama.
About the Position:
- Location: Dothan, Alabama – a convenient drive to Florida’s stunning Gulf Coast beaches
- Facility: Southeast Health, a 420-bed regional trauma center with Level II trauma designation and comprehensive subspecialty services
- Patient Volume: Approx. 60,000 annual emergency department visits, providing a high-acuity, challenging clinical environment
- Schedule: Consistent, equitable 6-7 day block per month, promoting work-life balance
- Team: All ED physicians are residency-trained and board-certified in Emergency Medicine, supported by a dedicated fast-track staffed with mid-level providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population
- Manage acute medical and trauma cases with support from a highly equipped hospital system
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neurology, cardiology, surgical services, and hospitalists
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards
- Engage in teaching and mentoring opportunities for residents and advanced practice providers (as applicable)
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Residency-trained in Emergency Medicine
- Board-certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
- Active Alabama medical license or eligible to obtain one
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, efficient, and culturally sensitive patient care
Compensation & Benefits:
