We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented professional to join our team in Bad Axe, MI, providing exceptional pharmaceutical services day shifts. What You’ll Do:
- Verify medication orders by reviewing and interpreting electronic physician prescriptions, confirming accuracy in drug choice, dosing, and administration routes.
- Monitor patient profiles for allergies, drug interactions, and lab results, performing pharmacokinetic dosing for high-risk medications.
- Oversee or prepare specialized sterile medications, including IVs, TPNs, and chemotherapy infusions, adhering to strict USP & <797>/<800> guidelines.
- Participate actively in medical rounds, providing evidence-based therapy recommendations and assisting during medical emergencies.
- Manage medication reconciliation during patient admissions and educate patients on their medications upon discharge.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to pharmacy technicians, interns, and students, ensuring accurate inventory management and distribution.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Pharmacist license in Michigan
- Proven experience with inpatient medication management and sterile compounding
- Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics, drug interactions, and hospital pharmacy operations
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have Skills:
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Certification in sterile compounding (such as USP <797> / <800>) or pharmacokinetics
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work full-time day shifts starting June 15, 2026
- Additional certifications or licensure reimbursements provided
