A hospital in Grass Valley, California is seeking an OB/GYN physician for ongoing locum call coverage due to provider cancellation and maternity leave.

Compensation:

Orientation: $175/hr
On Call Daily: $2920 per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis
24 Hour Holiday Call Rate: $4380 per 24 hours to include 4 hours gratis
Callback: $350/hr
Holiday Callback: $525/hr per holiday hour of patient contact hours, after gratis hours are completed, gratis prorate to MSA terms.

August 12 – August 15 (ending 7:00 AM)
Clinical Responsibilities
OB deliveries
C-sections
ED call coverage for OB/GYN-related issues
Full-spectrum OB/GYN coverage
Facility Details
Hospital setting with dedicated Labor & Delivery floor
Separate OR for C-sections
Average monthly deliveries: 25–40
EMR: Cerner
Support Staff
On-call anesthesiology coverage
General surgeons
Local OB/GYN physicians
Family Medicine OB physician
Pediatrician on-call
Experienced respiratory therapists
Requirements
Board Certified OB/GYN or Board Eligible within 5 years required
Active California license required
DEA required during credentialing
Clean malpractice history preferred
Availability must be noted at name clear
Self-query NPDB required within 30 days of presentation
Credentialing Requirements
Minimum 10 days from completed application
Must demonstrate:
At least 100 gynecologic surgical procedures within previous 2 years
Completion of accredited OB/GYN residency or fellowship
Case logs required for prior 24 months
Proctoring Requirements
OB Proctoring
Observation of first 2 non-emergency deliveries
If requesting C-section privileges, one observed case must be a C-section
GYN Proctoring
Observation of:
1 hysteroscopy
1 operative laparoscopy
1 open laparotomy
Additional Review
Minimum 3 months retrospective review required
Additional Information
Preferred lodging: Gold Miner’s Inn
Facility uses concurrent and retrospective proctoring for all new privileges
Strong procedural competency documentation required during credentialing"
