We are currently seeking a General Medicine Physician for an exciting locum tenens opportunity near Three Rivers, California. This position offers flexibility with options for half-day or full-day shifts, perfect for those looking for PRN work. You'll be performing non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams, along with Separation Health Assessments for Veterans.

Job Duties:

• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans


• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessments, including:
  
  
  
  • Range of motion testing
  
  
  • Muscle strength testing
  
  
  • METs testing
  
  
  
  


• No treatment or prescription involved


• Training will be provided for Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)


• Documentation to be completed and submitted within 48 hours of the exam

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted full medical license


• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions


• Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio conditions


• Own a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products)


• Willingness to complete required Disability Medical Assessment (DMA) training


• AANP certification is preferred


• Previous experience in completing Veterans’ assessments is a plus
