Description JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Orthopaedics Physician Assistant • Job Type: Permanent – Full-Time • Location: Mount Airy, NC • Service Setting: Orthopaedic outpatient clinic and surgical services • Schedule: Flexible 4.5-day workweek • On-Call Expectations: 1:3 call schedule with shared first call responsibilities • Start Date: Negotiable PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE • Patient Demographics: Adults and geriatrics with musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions • Average Daily Volume / Census: Varies by clinic and surgical caseload • Admissions & Rounding: Included as needed for surgical patients • Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes • Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: General orthopaedics, surgical assist, fracture care, joint replacement, sports medicine FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS • EMR System: Epic • Specialty Backup: Full hospital services, orthopaedic surgeons, anesthesia support • Support Staff: Collaborative team including orthopaedic surgeons, APPs, nurses, and OR staff • Leadership & Reporting Structure: Reports to supervising orthopedic surgeon and practice leadership • Reason for Opening: Practice growth and expansion of orthopaedic services CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE • Board Requirements: NCCPA certification required • DEA & Certifications: Active DEA, BLS/ACLS required • Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Base Salary: $125K Annually • Incentive Bonus Structure: $25K Sign-on Bonus, $250 per 24h On Call Compensation, up to $30,400 Additional Call incentives * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
