Description
Long-term locum tenens opportunity for an experienced Neurosurgery Physician Assistant supporting a hospital-based neurosurgery department in Upstate New York. This role offers strong surgical exposure with a spine-focused case mix and collaborative physician support.Job Responsibilities:
• First assist in neurosurgical procedures
• Support inpatient consults and post-op management
• Perform minor bedside procedures
• Assist with ICU consult evaluations when needed
• Collaborate with neurosurgery attending and APP team Qualifications:
• Active NY PA license preferred
• Board Certified Physician Assistant
• Minimum 2 years neurosurgery or spine surgery experience
• Strong spine first assist experience required
• DEA and CSR required
• BLS and ACLS required Working Hours:
• Monday-Friday
• 8 AM-5 PM
• No required call
• 1-year assignment with extension potential Skills:
• Spine surgery first assist
• Inpatient neurosurgery management
• ICU consult support
• Suturing and wound care
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
