Description JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Physician – Emergency Medicine • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Crown Point, Indiana • Service Setting: Hospital / Emergency Department • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 09/24/2026- Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Flexible scheduling; mix of days, nights, and weekends available COVERAGE DATES • 09/24/2026- Ongoing • Flexible scheduling available • Days, nights, and weekends available PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 33,000 annual ED visits • Admissions: Yes • Rounding: Not Included • Phone Consults: No • Case Mix: Moderate-to-high acuity Emergency Medicine cases FACILITY INFORMATION • Specialty Backup Available: Reliable specialty consultation available • Support Staff Available: Strong APP support; 18 hours/day NP/PA coverage • Physician Coverage: 38 hours/day MD/DO coverage • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Moderate Sedation • Emergency stabilization and resuscitation • Standard Emergency Medicine procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active unrestricted Indiana Medical License; Indiana CSR; DEA with IN address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 • Board: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine through ABMS/AOA • DEA: Active DEA required • Certifications: - BE in EM: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS required - BC in EM: ACLS, BLS, PALS required and proof of having ATLS at least once • Experience: Completed Emergency Medicine residency • Other Qualifications: - Documentation of case logs for the past 2 years - CME Attestation Form completion during application process - Current Flu, TB, COVID immunization documentation DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide emergency medical care in a moderate-to-high acuity Emergency Department • Collaborate within a team-based care model • Work alongside APPs and specialty consultants • Perform emergency procedures including moderate sedation • Deliver efficient, patient-centered emergency car * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
