A healthcare system in Eastern Iowa is seeking CRNAs for ongoing locums coverage due to continued staffing needs. This opportunity offers an independent practice environment, diverse case mix, and a flexible 13-week assignment with extension potential.

Details

• Setting: Multispecialty hospital-based practice


• Start Date: ASAP; credentialing can be completed in as little as 14–30 days for licensed and fully engaged providers


• Contract Length: 13 weeks with likely extension


• Schedule: Approximately 20 shifts per month


• Regular Shifts: 7am–5pm


• Weeknight Call: 5pm–7am


• Weekend Call: 24-hour shifts (7am–7am) approximately one weekend per month


• Practice Model: Independent CRNA coverage


• Patient Volume: 5–15 cases per day


• Patient Mix: Primarily adult and geriatric with pediatric cases included


• Support Staff: Full OR and PACU team, 3 physicians, and 10 CRNAs


• EMR: Cerner


• Level II Trauma Center

• General anesthesia cases across multiple specialties


• Pediatrics required


• OB required


• Pain management procedures required


• Regional anesthesia required, including:
  
  
  
  • Interscalene blocks
  
  
  • Supraclavicular and infraclavicular blocks
  
  
  • Axillary blocks
  
  
  • Adductor canal blocks
  
  
  • IPACK blocks
  
  
  • PENG blocks with lateral femoral cutaneous coverage
  
  
  
  


• No cardiac or neuro cases required

Requirements

• Board Certified CRNA


• Active Iowa license preferred; willing to consider providers open to obtaining licensure


• DEA required


• ACLS and PALS required


• Experience practicing independently required


• Name clear with full name and NPI required


• Case logs from the previous 24 months required


• Three references required
