Position Overview:

• Specialty: Gastroenterology (Board Certification Required).


• Coverage: Weekend-only coverage (Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM).

  • Manage gastrointestinal (GI) emergencies.
  
  
  • Perform Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio Pancreatography (ERCP) procedures as needed.
  
  
  • Ensure appropriate use of resources by focusing on emergent and urgent cases only. Routine scopes and colonoscopies are not performed during these shifts.
  
  
  
  


• Daily Patient Volume: Anticipated at 1 patient per day, focused on emergency cases.

Schedule Details:

• Shift Type: 24-hour on-call coverage during weekends.


• Duration: Ongoing weekend needs through at least March 2025.


• Start Date: January 2025 (with opportunities for earlier shifts upon approval).

Qualifications:

• Must hold Board Certification in Gastroenterology.


• Proficient in handling GI emergencies and performing ERCP procedures independently.
