Locum Tenens: Anesthesiologist Needed (Near Piney Point, MD)Are you a dedicated and experienced Anesthesiologist seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Piney Point, MD? We're actively searching for a skilled physician to join our team and provide vital anesthesia support on a scheduled clinical hours only basis (ASAP - Ongoing). This locum tenens position offers a temporary assignment with defined dates, allowing you to contribute to exceptional patient care while managing your workload effectively. We welcome applications from Maryland state-licensed physicians only. What We Offer:
- Rewarding & Specialized Practice: Utilize your expertise in general and MAC anesthesia to support a variety of urology procedures within our outpatient facility (average patients per shift: 8).
- Predictable Schedule with Work-Life Balance: This locum tenens role offers a predictable schedule with defined hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm) and no call responsibilities, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
- Streamlined Credentialing Process (for qualified candidates): We understand the importance of timely care and will work diligently to facilitate temporary privileges for qualified applicants with a clean history (estimated timeframe: ASAP).
- Supportive Team Collaboration: Partner with skilled surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care for your patients. While our facility is not stroke-certified, we have established protocols for emergency situations and can transfer patients requiring advanced stroke care when needed.
- Advanced Technology & Resources: Utilize the Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) system to enhance efficiency in documentation and communication.
- Multi-Provider Environment: We encourage collaboration within a supportive environment, welcoming multiple locum tenens providers to contribute their expertise.
Qualifications:
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Anesthesiology is required. Fellowship training is not required.
- Active medical license in Maryland (MD) only is mandatory.
- Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are essential for patient safety.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient anesthesia setting is preferred.
- The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- A commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality, patient-centered care.
