Medical Assistant, Oncology - Click and Apply!

Compensation: $19.00 - $25.00 / hour depending on experience.

Schedule: Day shift

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with practice physician(s) and office manager to deliver clinical support
• Aid physicians during patient examinations and treatments
• Conduct patient interviews and accurately document their information
• Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height
• Perform blood sample collection and processing for laboratory testing

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent experience
• Hold a valid MA, CNA, LPN, or EMT license/certification
• Medical Assistants hired after 7/1/16 with a Certificate or Diploma of Completion must obtain Medical Assistant Certification within 6 months
• Exclusion: Foreign Medical Doctors holding a Diploma
• Current BLS certification
• EKG and Phlebotomy Certifications mandatory for CNA license holders in Primary Care Practices
• CNA, LPN, EMT licenses must be from the state of Florida
• Familiarity with HIPAA/OSHA regulations
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities
• Display empathy, integrity, and ethical conduct
• Effective communication skills with patients, colleagues, and management
• Proficiency in a second language is advantageous
