Description Seeking a Full Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Senior Behavioral Health Unit in the Philadelphia, PA area! -This is a full time permanent position offering a competitive benefit package Summary: The Senior Behavioral Health Program is a 20-bed, inpatient care unit serving older adults who seek behavioral health services and require a short inpatient stay. Treatment is available for a variety of conditions including, but not limited to depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, anxiety, dementia with behaviors and schizophienia.
Responsibilities: The Nurse Practitioner is an active member of the multidisciplinary team focusing and coordinating care for their departmental or disease centric specialty. The Nurse Practitioner coordinates the care of the population seen in their specific department and or center. The Nurse Practitioner will be an active member of the Hospitalist team. He or she will work with and collaborate with the Hospitalist physicians to provide patient care for adult in-patients on the unit. Opportunity for medical exposure through patient co-morbidities, patient consults on medical units and daily interaction with medical doctors who co-manage and round daily on patients.
Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing. Master of Science in Nursing. Nurse Practioner Psychiatry degree - Required
Licenses/Certificates: Current Pennsylvania CRNP license. Current Pennsylvania RN license. Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification required. Two - five years experience preferred, will consider a stellar new graduate
