We’re seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist (MD/DO) for a locum tenens assignment at a busy community hospital in Dover, New Hampshire. This role offers a mix of personally performed cases and medical direction within a collaborative anesthesia department. You’ll work with a CRNA care team model (no residents) and document in Epic EMR.

Start: 08/01/2026
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (ongoing coverage need)
Setting: Acute care hospital / OR environment (9 ORs; ~20–30 cases/day)
Patient Population: Adult + limited pediatric ENT

Skills

Job Responsibilities:
• Provide anesthesia services across a broad surgical case mix
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and post-anesthesia assessments
• Deliver perioperative patient care throughout the surgical continuum
• Medically direct/supervise CRNAs as assigned (approximately 3 days/week)
• Collaborate with surgeons, nursing, and perioperative teams
• Document all care in Epic
• Participate in optional overnight call as needed

Typical case mix includes:
• General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, ENT (incl. limited pediatric ENT), Vascular, Thoracic
• Excludes: Cardiac surgery, intracranial neurosurgery

Requirements:
• Board Certification in Anesthesiology (required)
• Active New Hampshire medical license (required)
• Will consider candidates with IMLC LOQ in hand for expedited processing
• ACLS + BLS (required)
• DEA (required)
• Minimum 1 year experience (required)
• Epic experience (required)
• Comfortable working in a CRNA-only medical direction model (no residents)
