We are seeking a skilled Urologist for a locum tenens position near Kirkland, AZ. This opportunity offers a chance to work in both a hospital and clinic setting, providing comprehensive urology care. The position involves a mix of clinic days, surgeries in the operating room, and procedural work, along with night beeper call coverage. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Urology and hold an active Arizona medical license or be eligible through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).

Job Overview:

• Position: Urologist (Locum Tenens)


• Location: Near Kirkland, AZ


• Start Date: December 20, 2024


• Contract Length: 1 week


• Shift Schedule:
  
  
  
  • December 20: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch) + night beeper call from 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM
  
  
  • December 21 & 22: 8:00 AM - 8:00 AM (24-hour call)
  
  
  • Three days of clinic, one day in the OR, and one day for procedures in the clinic
  
  
  
  


• Call Ratio: Daily call required during the assignment

Practice Details:

• Support Staff: 1 Physician Assistant, Medical Assistants, no other physicians on staff


• Clinic Volume: Approximately 20 patients per day


• Procedures: 10-15 procedures per week


• Surgeries in OR: 3-4 surgeries per day


• Special Procedures: Clinic vasectomy, infant circumcision (optional)


• Robotics: Not required


• EMR System: Cerner


• Hospital Bed Size: 99 beds

Job Requirements:

• Board Certification: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Urology


• License: Active Arizona medical license required, or eligibility through IMLC


• DEA: DEA license required


• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Urology


• Vaccination Requirements: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are mandatory (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

Compensation:

• Call Rates: Night call and 24-hour call rates available


• Overtime & Holiday Pay: 1.5x the regular rate for overtime and holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
