Description
We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to join our client's team in Maryland for a 60-day assignment starting Sep 14, 2026. This role involves managing patients within a CVICU step down unit, overseeing post-cardiac and post-vascular surgery cases, and working consistent 7am to 7pm shifts.
Responsibilities and Duties - Manage patients within the CVICU step down unit.
- Oversee post-cardiac and post-vascular surgery patients transitioning from CVICU.
- Handle cases involving CABGs and valve work.
- Conduct in-house cardiac surgery consultations.
- Collaborate with an attending physician who rounds with advanced practice providers from 7am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
- Work closely with in-house surgeons available for support as needed.
- No operating room work is required.
Additional Information - EMR: Cerner
- Prior cardiac surgery experience is preferred to facilitate effective communication with the cardiac surgery team.
