• Inpatient rounding and patient management


• Approximately 10 patients per shift


• 32-bed department


• Cerner EMR


• Level I Trauma Center


• Stroke-Certified Facility

Clinical Responsibilities

• Vascular clinic evaluations and follow-up care


• Cardiac surgery patient management


• Thoracic surgery patient management


• Vascular surgery patient management


• Inpatient rounding


• Floor call coverage


• Post-operative patient care coordination


• Collaborative multidisciplinary surgical support

Call Details

• Average 3 phone consults per day


• Approximately 20% callback rate


• Average 1 patient seen while on call


• Approximately 1 admission per call period

Requirements

• Physician Assistant only


• Board Eligible or Board Certified


• Active Montana License or IMLC eligibility required


• Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery experience strongly preferred


• Comfortable managing vascular clinic responsibilities


• Comfortable with inpatient floor call and surgical patient management
