A hospital in Ohio is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN physician for ongoing labor and delivery coverage. This in-house call opportunity offers flexible scheduling with a mix of nights, weekends, and select daytime shifts while working alongside an established team of OB/GYN physicians, Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, APPs, residents, and fellows.

Schedule

• 5–10 shifts per month


• Primarily nights and weekends with some daytime coverage opportunities


• Weekday Day Call: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM


• Weeknight Call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM


• Weekend Call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Practice Environment

• High-volume labor and delivery service


• Approximately 4,200 annual deliveries


• In-house OB/GYN coverage model


• Academic and collaborative practice environment

Support Staff

• 3 OB/GYN Physicians


• 1 Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician


• 2–3 Certified Nurse Midwives


• 2 Advanced Practice Providers


• Residents and Fellows

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house labor and delivery coverage


• Manage obstetric and gynecologic emergencies


• Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections


• Evaluate and manage laboring patients


• Collaborate with MFM, APPs, nursing staff, and trainees


• Supervise and support resident education as appropriate


• Document patient care within Epic EMR

Patient Mix

• Approximately 66% Obstetrics


• Approximately 33% Gynecology

Requirements

• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology


• Active Ohio license or IMLC eligibility


• Minimum two years of experience


• Clean background history required


• Strong labor and delivery experience preferred

• NPDB Self-Query completed within the last six months


• Board Certification documentation


• Active Ohio license or proof of IMLC eligibility


• Clean malpractice and background history
