A healthcare facility near Seligman, Missouri, is seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for a long-term locum tenens assignment. This role offers a balance of inpatient and procedural care with a supportive team in a welcoming environment.

Position Details:

• Start Date: January 6, 2025


• End Date: Ongoing (long-term assignment)


• Schedule:
  
  
  
  • 10 days per month (preferably Wednesday-Sunday rotations)
  
  
  • Includes 24-hour call coverage and scheduled procedures during lab hours
  
  
  
  


• Call: 1:4 ratio with a 15-minute response time


• Setting: Primarily outpatient with inpatient procedures


• Patients Per Shift: Variable

Practice Requirements:

• Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology


• Skills Required:
  
  
  
  • Upper GI Endoscopy (including biopsy, foreign body removal, and varices injection)
  
  
  • Colonoscopy and lower GI procedures (including polyp excision)
  
  
  • ERCP (Diagnostic & Therapeutic)
  
  
  • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
  
  
  • Esophageal manometry interpretation and small bowel biopsy
  
  
  • Liver biopsy
  
  
  
  


• Hospital Privileges: Must be obtained prior to start (credentialing timeframe ~90 days)
