Position Overview:

• Coverage Dates: September 30, 2024 (orientation) to October 6, 2024


• Shift Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only


• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, 7 days a week

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
  
  
  
  • Provide emergency care for patients in a busy outpatient setting.
  
  
  • Average patient load is around 30 patients per day.
  
  
  • Perform admissions with an average of 3 admissions per shift.
  
  
  
  


• Support Staff:
  
  
  
  • Work alongside ED Physicians and ED RNs.
  
  
  
  


• Practice Setting:
  
  
  
  • Outpatient emergency care with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
  
  
  
  

Practice Details:

• EMR System: MediTech


• Board Certification: Required (Emergency Medicine)


• Fellowship: Not required


• Credentialing: Estimated timeframe is 30 days, expedited if documents are submitted promptly.


• Privileges: Temporary privileges are available if needed.


• Travel & Lodging: Reimbursement for travel and lodging if necessary.

Requirements:

• Licensure: Must be licensed in Michigan.

  • Board Certification in Emergency Medicine.
  
  
  • BLS certification is required.
  
  
  
  


• Additional Information:
  
  
  
  • ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS are not required.
  
  
  • Ability to cover shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with potential for call rotation.
