• Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM


• Operating Room (OR): Two days per week + on-call as needed

Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Breast Surgeon to join our team on a locum tenens basis. This position offers a dynamic mix of clinic hours, operating room time, and on-call responsibilities, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to the breast surgery program in a diverse patient population.

Job Details:

• Reason for Coverage: Vacancy due to provider departure


• Practice Setting: Office-clinic and hospital


• Call Schedule: To be determined


• Trauma Level/Designation: No trauma designation at this time


• Documentation System/EMR: Utilizing Epic EMR system


• Number of Operating Rooms: 28 operating rooms spread across two hospital facilities


• Number of General Surgeons in Practice: 9


• Patient Age Demographic: Primarily adult and geriatric patients

Required Procedures:

• General Surgical Cases ADULT


• Breast Surgery


• Cholecystectomy


• Hernioplasty

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Board certification in General Surgery is mandatory.


• BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.


• State License: Active South Carolina medical license and DEA registration are necessary.


• Clean Background: A clean background check (medical & criminal) is a prerequisite.


• Breast Surgery Fellowship: Highly preferred; candidates must have completed extensive training in breast surgery.
