Description JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Emergency Medicine • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Richmond, IN • Service Setting: Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: September 2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Minimum 12 shifts or 108 hours per month COVERAGE DATES • September 16, 2026 (10:30 PM) – September 24, 2026 (7:30 AM) • October 11, 2026 (10:30 PM) – October 20, 2026 (7:30 AM) • December 10, 2026 (10:30 PM) – December 16, 2026 (7:30 AM) PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: All Emergency Department patients • Patient Volume/Census: TBD • Admissions: As Required • Phone Consults: As Needed • Case Mix: Emergency Medicine FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 220+ Hospital Beds • Trauma Level: Level III • EMR System: Epic • Specialty Backup Available: Full Cardiology Program, Critical Care, Neurology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Additional Specialty Services • Support Staff Available: Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nursing Staff, and Ancillary Support Teams PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60–90 Days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Invasive Ventilation Management (ETT/Tracheostomy/NT) • Non-Invasive Ventilation Management (BiPAP/CPAP) • Central Line Placement • Arterial Line Placement • Chest Tube Insertion • Temporary Transvenous Pacemaker Placement • Lumbar Puncture • Thoracentesis • Paracentesis • Respond to Codes JOB REQUIREMENTS • Active Indiana Medical License Preferred • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (Certification Required Within 5 Years of Residency Completion) • Active DEA • BLS Required; ACLS Required for Conscious Sedation Privileges • Emergency Medicine Experience • COVID & Flu Vaccinations • Other Qualifications: Must Complete Order Entry and Time Entry Requirements Through Vemsta Platform DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients • Manage critically ill and injured patients • Perform required emergency medicine procedures • Respond to emergency codes and stabilization events • Document patient encounters and orders within Epic EMR • Collaborate with hospital staff and consulting specialists • Provide high-quality, evidence-based emergency care * Some information such as the email and phone number are hidden unless you are registered and logged-in
