A student health facility is seeking a family medicine nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located 1.5 hours from Rochester, NY.
This part-time position requires 2-3 days per week, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with an average of 8-14 scheduled patients daily, each allotted 30 minutes to 1 hour for physicals. The patient demographic consists of adult male and female students. Candidates must hold a New York medical license and DEA registration; COVID-19 vaccination is preferred but not mandatory. Support staff includes part-time and full-time RNs, a nurse manager, and an administrative assistant, with a dedicated part-time RN for COVID-19 cases. The EMR system utilized is Point and Click. The role primarily involves addressing sick calls, including sore throats, STIs, physicals, and flu cases.
