What You’ll Do
- Evaluate patients’ posture, gait, balance, coordination, and strength to support mobility goals.
- Develop and implement treatment plans focused on regaining mobility and independence.
- Identify patient strengths and areas for improvement and adjust therapy goals accordingly.
- Provide therapy to support everyday functional tasks (e.g., transfers, stairs, and mobility skills).
- Lead, guide, and direct the delivery of physical therapy services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and established facility policies.
- Ensure care is delivered consistent with applicable skilled nursing home / long-term care standards, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines.
What You Need
Required
- Valid, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of employment
- Meets educational requirements for PT licensure
- Valid driver’s license in the state of employment
- Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations and long-term care guidelines
Preferred
- Prior experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or skilled nursing settings (not specifically stated; knowledge required)
