What You’ll Do
- Provide hospital-based Interventional Radiology services as part of a clinical IR team
- Perform/intervene with procedures including: angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, needle biopsy, thrombolysis, and UFE (uterine fibroid embolization)
- Support a broad case mix, including orthopedic, gynecology, and urology cases as needed
- Deliver high-quality clinical documentation and patient care during scheduled coverage and call periods
- Work alongside IR support staff (manager and APPs) to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Participate in Q3 call coverage (every third weekday and every third weekend)
- Follow facility credentialing requirements (credentialing timeframe noted: up to ~90 days, with fast-track available ASAP)
What You Need
Required
- MD and Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist
- Ability to support hospital-based IR coverage and Q3 call schedule
Preferred
- Experience or comfort with a variety of IR procedures, including embolic and biopsy interventions and UFE
- Willingness to take 3+ weeks of coverage per month (additional travel accepted if needed)
About the Assignment
This locum Interventional Radiology position is with a leading hospital in Lansing, Michigan, supporting an established IR practice team. The role provides day-shift coverage with Q3 call (every third weekday and every third weekend) and serves an adult-focused patient population, including geriatric patients. The practice is described as Level I trauma and typically performs about 8 cases per day.
