  JOB REQUIREMENTS
  

  

    
• Board: ABEM, AOBEM, or ABMS (FM/IM/EM)

    
• Licenses: Active unrestricted VA Medical License; DEA with VA address

    
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA with VA address (Schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5)

    
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (if not BC in EM); NRP for non-ABEM providers

    
• Experience: New graduates (EM residency within past 12 months) acceptable with 3-month proctorship

    
• Other Qualifications: Case logs (last 2 years), CME (Preeclampsia), immunizations (MMR, Varicella, TB, Flu)

  

  DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  

  

    
• Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages in a 12-hour shift model

    
• Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants during mid-level coverage

    
• Perform necessary emergency procedures and interventions consistent with EM practice

    
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the Epic EMR system

    
• Maintain required certifications and participate in quality improvement activities
