Description JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Nurse Practitioner – Cardiac Surgery • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Topeka, KS • Service Setting: Inpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: Sep 5 - Dec 5, 2026 • Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM • Call Shift Schedule: 24-hr Weekend Call - Every Other Week Rotation Preferred • Call Type: Beeper • Call Ratio: Every Other Weekend PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Patients • Patient Volume/Census: 1–10 Patient Encounters Per Shift • Admissions: Included as Needed • Rounding: Included • Phone Consults: Included During Call Coverage • Case Mix: Cardiac Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery FACILITY INFORMATION • EMR System: Epic • Specialty Backup Available: Cardiovascular Service Line • Support Staff Available: 2 APRNs on Staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice I
